Michelle Rides With Me

Michelle Wilson and Michael Davis
By Michael Davis

Michelle Wilson and I met a little over two years ago at work.  It was almost like fate.  We pulled into the parking lot directly across from one another and I made small talk as we walked in.  I just couldn't stop thinking about her afterwards.  Later, my supervisor told me that Michelle was asking about me, so we exchanged numbers and have been together ever since.

I have been riding since I was 5 years old.  My dad bought me a Honda Trail 70 and I was hooked. Over the years I have had nine different bikes.  Today I ride a 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom.  It has a lot of Willie G extras on it and a skull motif.  Motorcycles play a big role in my life, and in our lives together.  At first Michelle wasn't sure if she would like to ride, but just like me as a 5 year old, it only took that first ride to get her hooked.  Now she is shopping for an Ultra Classic we can take on long trips.

Michelle rides with me, we take day trips all the time, and weekend trips when we can.  We have ridden to several places here in Arkansas and enjoy riding to Memphis.  I have been to the rally four times before meeting Michelle, last year was our first time to go together.  If I had to pick a favorite aspect of the rally, I'd have to say sitting on Dickson listening to the bands, watching the bikes going up and down the street, and sharing the experience with my bride-to-be. It was her first ever motorcycle rally.  Bikes Blues and BBQ just gets better every year.  Michelle and I plan to make it an annual event.

We decided to get married this fall and were looking to have a small, intimate ceremony.  I was thinking about the Old Mill in North Little Rock, but Michelle surprised me by suggesting getting married at Bikes Blues and BBQ on stage.  Of course, I ran with that and got the ball rolling.  So much for the intimate wedding!  Getting married midst the rumbling of thousands of motorcycles at one of best rallies in the nation couldn't be a better choice.  We are looking forward to it!

Michael Davis, from Malvern, Arkansas, and Michelle Wilson, from Forest City, Arkansas, will be married at 6:15 pm on September 27th in the Dickson Street Beer Garden on the Main Stage.  They begin their new life as husband and wife in Cabot, Arkansas.  You are all invited to attend and share their special day!
